Karel Van Rompuy richtte in 1956 Argenta op. Argenta blaast dit jaar dus 60 kaarsjes uit. Op 18 april 1956 richtte Karel Van Rompuy (1929 – 2013) Argenta op. In 60 jaar is Argenta uitgegroeid van een bescheiden financieringsmaatschappij tot een belangrijke retailbank en -verzekeraar met activiteiten in België, Nederland en Luxemburg.
